Gates of Eden, in a three year exhibition at the William King Museum, May 2026

The Gates of Eden sculpture , (wolf at the door ) will be one of 6 outdoor sculptures at the William King Museum’s exhibition, “ Unleashing the Wolf”, May 2026- May 2029. The juror was David Detrich, Professor Emeritus from Clemson University.

“Robert Spinazzola began his career in Detroit, and his installation “ Gates of Eden”- one of the highlights of the ArtsWestchester’s captivating “ Rubbish! Art and the Ecosystem “- is an elegy for the Motor City in the age of the no longer Big Three. In the steel and oil work, a wolf bares his teeth at Eden’s door, which turns out to be part of an unpainted , upside down Chevrolet. Its a brilliant metaphor for our times really- at once familiar and unusual, visually succinct and viscerally on the money. - Georgette Gouveia, The Journal News, May, 31, 2009.
