Dream Interrupted, 2024, will exhibit in the exhibition, Beyond Clay, at the Hudson Valley, Museum of Contemporary Art beginning October 17, 2024 and continuing through January 15, 2027. The piece was inspired by a poem of Langston Hugh’s. This work juxtaposes a house figure hovering over a machine below it. The two forms are linked by a metal conduit connection. Does the house depend upon the machine turning and if so, when the machine stops, does the house dream end?
